Guadalupe Dog Park

Opened March 2024, San José’s Guadalupe Dog Park, the largest dog park in San José, is designed to create an open space for community members and their dogs to enjoy

San Jose's 5 Acre Dog Park

The Guadalupe Dog Park provides 5 acres of natural terrain for dogs to freely roam off-leash, with areas designated specifically for smaller and larger dogs.

The Guadalupe Dog Park is located at 400 Asbury St, San Jose, CA 95110 between W Hedding St and Ashbury St. Visiting by car, we recommend accessing the park from Coleman Ave and turning onto Asbury St.

This development is made possible by San Jose Parks, Recreation, and Neighborhood Services, the Office of Councilmember Dev Davis, and the Guadalupe River Park Conservancy.

Current Dog Park Conditions

We ask visitors to please be mindful that the Guadalupe Dog Park is a “work in progress”, with additional features to be installed and maintained with future funding. Currently, the park does not provide dog waste bags or trash services. If you would like to directly help improve the park, please consider one of the many ways to contribute to the Guadalupe River Park Conservancy. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Disclaimer: The City of San José has recently acted to remove encampments on the east end of Columbus Park. This is impacting parking availability and conditions of Ashbury Street next to the Guadalupe Dog Park. With these encampment-related actions ongoing, we cannot guarantee the conditions of the streets around the Guadalupe Dog Park. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause in accessing the park.
