Help cleanup the River Park with Neighborhood Hands! Neighborhood Hands meets at 7:45 AM in the Guadalupe River Park just north of the Spring St. cul de sac off Coleman Avenue. (Google Maps directions here). We clean the park until approximately 9:00 AM, unhoused neighbors receive stipends for their efforts, then everyone enjoys a vibrant and growing community resource fair until ~10:30 AM.
Parking: For those who are physically able, please utilize the lot at BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse or Walnut or Hobson Streets. Please do NOT park at the Rotary PlayGarden parking lot or on Seymour St.
Resource Groups, Service Providers, and People with Disabilities: Parking will be available at the Spring St. cul de sac. There will also be an unloading area just south of the white picket fence where the red pin is located below.
Drop Off & Pick Up Area for Carpools: Carpooling is always encouraged!

We suggest bringing: - A full water bottle - Thick work gloves

Have your homeschool child learn environmental education in downtown San Jose!
The CHIRP Program provides an interactive, outdoor education experience while utilizing the Guadalupe River Park gardens and amenities to teach a variety of environmental themes.
Students build communication skills by working together on experiments and hands-on activities, with lessons encouraging students to form their own connection to nature while reinforcing environmental objectives and concepts.
- Students are typically between the ages of 5-12.
- We provide an activity-based program with the newest Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) as a model.
- Registrations may be purchased as full season packages or by the month, with an opportunity to save money by becoming a GRPC Member. Individual session costs are listed as $30/per student per session for Member Households and $40/per student per session for Non-Member Households.
- Purchase Orders are available for those who qualify from Connecting Waters, Ocean Grove, Peak Prep Academy, and Valiant.

WHEN: Weekly on Mondays from 1:00pm - 3:00pm. Both age group sessions (5-8 and 9-12) will run concurrently.

Join the UC Master Gardeners of Santa Clara County for Historic Orchard workdays!
The Santa Clara Master Gardeners work with the Guadalupe River Park Conservancy on all aspects of fruit tree care in the Historic Orchard including: - tree planting and pruning - disease diagnosis and treatment - sun scald prevention painting - sheet mulching - experimenting with different types of irrigation or ground cover - grafting for improved pollination

- Volunteers must abide by all rules mentioned in the pre-cleanup safety talk
We will meet at the bus loading zone between the Visitors Center and the PlayGarden.

There will be food, music, vendors, and workshops at the venue. Local Artist Rayos Magos will be leading an exciting printmaking workshop. Miguel Ozuna will be facilitating an introductory film photography class. Provided cameras are limited and may not be available to all. Please RSVP for the photography class with the coordinators to reserve your spots.
In addition to the activity, we will also be hosting a donation drive. Sacred Heart will be accepting used coats and canned foods. Please only donate what you would be happy to receive!
