Volunteer in the beloved Rotary PlayGarden!
The Rotary PlayGarden provides an inclusive place to play for all children and their families, with a focus on children with special needs. Included in the garden are a variety of native and drought tolerant plants and trees. As the gardens establish themselves they need maintenance. Tasks may include weed removal, minor infrastructure repairs, tree pruning, mulching, and other tasks as necessary.
Please note:
- We suggest you bring a full water bottle
- We will be providing all necessary tools for cleanup as well as disposable gloves.
- Inclement weather may cancel this event; we will contact you should conditions require the event to be postponed.

Our pilot program meets every other Saturday at 7:45 A.M. in Guadalupe Gardens just north of the Spring St. cul de sac off Coleman Avenue across from Target. (Google Maps directions here; see red pin on map below.) If the weather is good, we clean the park until approximately 9:15 A.M., unhoused neighbors receive stipends, then everyone enjoys a vibrant and growing community resource fair until ~10:30 A.M.

Students delve into a different topic each month, expanding their knowledge and building connections to the environment and each other. Plus, we're pleased to include that we will have Spanish-speaking instructors available!
