2026 Trail Stewardship

Thanks to generous support from Valley Water’s Safe, Clean Water Standard Grant Program, DowntownStreetsTeam, Neighborhood Hands and SanJoseDowntownAssociation’s Groundwerx team are servicing the downtown portion of the Guadalupe River Trail weekly through December 2026 in partnership with Conservancy Ambassadors and volunteers.

They provide a welcoming presence, support litter cleanup and illegal dumping response, and promote watershed stewardship among all trail users. Please say hello when you see them on the trail!

The project will achieve priority objectives by providing both direct and proactive reduction of litter and hazardous waste along four miles of Guadalupe River frontage, reducing surface water contamination. Collaboration with nonprofit organizations with demonstrated experience performing cleanups and outreach, coupled with active engagement of community members, will ensure efficient use of resources and support the shared missions of local community Organizations.
